? 你要保守你心 Guard Your Heart 江林月娇 by: Julia Chiang 你要保守你心，胜过保守一切；因为一生的果效，是由心发出。 Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life 您是否处在一个万事不顺、生活失序的处境？Are you stuck in a situation where every thing is out of place, nothing is going your way? 您是否心怀痛恨苦毒、终日怨天尤人、满心愤世嫉俗？Is your heart filled with bitterness, anger and discontentment? 超人能力 A Super Hero 电影《冒牌天神》(Bruce Almighty)中的男主角布鲁斯?诺兰(Bruce Nolan)，是一位纽约水牛城(Buffalo)电视台「人性焦点」节目播报员，在经过一连串「不顺心」的事件后，终于忍无可忍、口无遮拦地呼天唤地、诅咒上苍。 In the film Bruce Almighty, the leading actor Bruce Nolan was the news announcer of _Focus on Human Nature_ at Buffalo New York. Through a series of frustrating incidences, he lost control of himself and broke loose in cursing God. 哪知此举竟然惊动了上帝，于是上帝接见这位有点狂妄不羁、自以为是的市井小民，并且应允布鲁斯作一个礼拜的上帝，让他拥有「超人能力」。Never did he expect that this reaction caught God_s attention and consequently God granted him a reception. Not only that, this ordinary, self-righteous, nobody was granted the power to become God for a week. 布鲁斯的人生哲学是，如果能够拥有上帝一切的力量，就能随心所欲、为所欲为。 Now, Bruce_s philosophy of life is if he ever had the power like God, he would make sure he does anything he desires, whatever comes to his mind. 拥有「超人能力」后的布鲁斯，先是使爱犬不在家中到处乱撒尿，而是令人捧腹大笑地在马桶上「如厕」，继而让目不视丁的狗儿也懂得阅读书报。 The first thing he did with his _supernatural power_ was to stop his pet dog from peeing anywhere in the house. Instead, it was able not only to sit on the toilet, but to read the news paper while he does his job. 经过一连串荒唐的举动后，上帝对他说：「你能使用我赐予的一切力量，但是你要记得，你无法掌控一个人的自由意志。」 After a series of absurd incidences, God said to him: _You can use the power I grant you, but remember, you cannot control the free will of a person._ 布鲁斯使用被赋予的「超人能力」，将女友的胸脯尺寸加大__荒唐事作尽了，直到女友定意离去时，布鲁斯才意识到自己无论多大的努力，都无法使女友回心转意。 With this God-given _super power_ he expanded the size of his girl friend_s bust_.and did many other frivolous things. But when his girl friend decided to leave him, he realized that no matter how hard he tried, he could not turn her heart back toward him. 在失恋痛苦中，他虚心地回来求问上帝：「你是如何在不干扰一个人的自由意志之情况下，使人爱祢？」 In the misery of being jilted, he humbly returned to God for help:_ How can you make some one to love you without interfering with their free will?_ 布鲁斯以搞笑的方式与上帝讨价还价的过程中，心里渐渐醒悟过来，明白自己只不过是个人，无法运用「超人能力」来解决一切问题；至少，无法用「超人能力」使女友回过头来继续爱他。 Through many laughable measures and bargaining with God, Bruce finally woke up to the fact that he was only a human being, and could not use _super power_to solve all problems. At lease, no _super power_ could change his girl friend_s heart and turn around to love him again. 摆上自己 Giving up self 就在布鲁斯万念俱灰的时候，上帝提醒他，世上有许多的事，是人自己可以掌控的。事实上，「谋事在人、成事在天」与「事在人为」是一体的两面；人需要上帝的恩助，同时人自己也需要在行动中尽到自己的职责。 When all hopes were gone, God reminded Bruce that many things in life can be under man_s control. In fact, _It is up to man to plan, but it is up to God to fulfill the plan. On the other hand, men do have the responsibility to get things done. Men need God_s gracious help, and at the same time they also need to put into practice what they know are their duties. 可贵的是，布鲁斯逐渐领悟到，倘若自己善尽职责、摆上自己应当付出的时间和精力，生活不致于走上那失序失控的局面。就拿养宠物这件小事来说，布鲁斯可以训练小狗在「正确的地方」大小便，只因为没有耐心、没有持之以恒，最后不了了之，造成生活一团糟。 The encouraging thing was that Bruce gradually realized that if a person would exercise his responsibility, and offer up his time and energy, his life would not become out of control. Take raising pet as an example, Bruce could have trained the dog to go to the _proper place_for emptying his bowels and bladder, but his lack of patience and persistence ended the unfinished training in chaos. 最后，他决定不再行使「超人能力」，并且开始训练爱犬到室外撒尿。从这件看似平常庸俗的小事，观众们得以窥见，当一个人开始守住本份、尽到人应当有的责任时，周遭的人、事、物必然随着有次序、正面积极的方向挪移。 ventually, he decided not to use his _super power_ anymore, but instead, he started bringing his dog outside for potty training. From such trivial and mundane things, the audience can observe that once a person fulfills his duties, then the people, things and objects around him would become more orderly and move toward a more positive direction. 布鲁斯终于明白，拥有「超人能力」并不代表拥有了一切；身为「人」，最重要的是，如何保守自己的一颗「心」。 Bruce finally realized that to possess _super power_ does not mean that one has possessed everything. To be a human, the most important thing is to guard one_s heart. 保守你心 Guard your heart. 唐崇荣牧师在《希伯来书归正查经讲座》第二十一讲中提到，当天使堕落的时候，牠是「向上堕落」；同样的，当一个人不甘愿作人，而是要作上帝，这也是堕落。 In the twenty-first lecture of Rev. Stephen Tong_s Bible Exposition on the Book of Hebrews, he mentioned that when the Arch Angel fell, it was falling upward. Likewise, when a person is not willing to settle for being human, but instead, desires to become like God, he is also falling. 「又有不守本位，离开自己住处的天使。」(犹6)。原来， 神看重位份过于思想、意识、言语、行为、习惯等各层面。And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home(Jude 6). Here we see how much God values our position more than our thoughts, consciousness, speech, behavior and habits. 箴言书四章23节说：「你要保守你心，胜过保守一切；因为一生的果效，是由心发出。」Proverbs 4:23 says: Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. 片尾，上帝问男主角说：「你是不是希望女朋友回心转意，再度回到你的身旁来呢？」 At the end of the movie, God was asking the main character: _Do you still hope that your girl friend_s heart would turn around, to get back with you?_ 布鲁斯落寞但肯定地回答，不，我只希望她生活的快乐__如果世上有一位更适合她，能带给她幸福的男士__我只期望她生活快乐。 Bruce_s answer was sad but firm: _No, I only hope that she would have a happy life_if there is someone else that fits her better, who can bring more happiness to her_I only want her to be happy. _ 从布鲁斯想望登上新闻主播席，不甘心作一位泛泛的新闻播报员开始，到拥有「超人能力」冒牌天神的身份；这一心路历程使他明白，上帝对他生命的评语和批注： From the original Bruce who was dreaming to become the chief anchor man instead of just a news announcer, to having become one with _super power_ playing God, the journey made him appreciate God_s comment about him: 「你拥有使人快乐的特质，可以给周遭之人带来欢笑；我深知道你，因为你是我手所造。」 _You possess a rare ability to make people happy, to bring laughter to people around you. I know you real well, for I have made you with my own hands._ 是的，亲爱的读者们，您的婚姻状况、亲子关系、人际互动__是否失控失序？对目前一团糟的局面，您常感到无能为力吗？ Yes, dear readers, is your marital status, parent-child relationship and inter-personal relationship out of control? Do you feel a deep sense of helplessness in the chaotic situation you are in? 今日，您需要的不是在一夜之间成为冒牌上帝，拥有「超人能力」来力挽狂澜、收拾残局；而是要谦卑恭敬地回转向 神，向祂承认自己能力的有限与不足。 Today, what you do not need is to become God overnight, to possess the _super power_ for cleaning up the mess, but to humbly turn your heart toward God, and acknowledge to Him your limitations and inadequacies. 求主恩上加恩、力上加力，使我们下垂的手，发酸的腿，得以再次刚强挺立。求主耶稣赐我们智慧与能力、爱心与耐心、毅力与勇气去面对眼前的人事物，存心忍耐奔那摆在我们前头的路程。 May the Lord add His grace and strength on us, to strengthen our feeble arms and weak knees. Pray that the Lord would grant us wisdom and strength, love and patience, perseverance and courage to face the people, and things around us, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
